Carbohydrates

We feed our bodies with nutrients and vital substances. Nutrients are carbohydrates, proteinsand fat. Vital substances comprise a far wider range and will be explained in upcoming newsletters.

Today, I wish to first inform you on carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates!
Frequently, they have been calledthe«poor man’s food » and been demonized as being fattening!

At this point, something absolutely essential has not been considered...

1. Carbohydrates are not all the same!!

We have to distinguish between:
• complex, natural carbohydrates and
• concentrated, isolated carbohydrates.

Complex carbohydratesare found in: whole meal cereals, unprocessed starch, fruits, vegetablesand legumes!
